I’d like to invite you to join me in some lent reflections around Henri Nouwen’s Return of the Prodigal son, In the book, Henri Nouwen talks about his encounter with Rembrandt’s painting of the same name. In the reflections, we’ll consider each of the characters from the parable in Luke 15, and think about our own place in the story. How do we resonate with the younger son, the elder son, and the father?
You may wish to buy the book and read along, or get a copy of the painting to look at. I’ve ordered some postcards of Rembrandt’s painting so just let me know if you’d like one. I’ve also added a link in the video description to a site where you can download a very high-res version.
But if you just want to listen and read the parable that should be fine too.
